ABOUT ME
Growing up in the rural area of the Northern Territory I experienced wildlife in abundance. We weren’t shy of green tree frogs finding their way into the toilet or snakes helping themselves to a few eggs from the chook pen. As a kid, we spent plenty of time outdoors swimming and riding bikes with dirty bare feet while exploring and creating our own adventures.
Finding my way into photography has been a slow burn. As I start to reflect on it I can remember Dad's boxy old Canon which mind you was state of the art back in the day, and there was Mum’s thick blue digital camera that took 2x double AA batteries. At 15 years old I was given a red Olympus waterproof camera which saw some sights, like swimming in the warm tropical waters off of Vanuatu, it also saw the rolling green plains near the Russian border and by accident it visited the bottom of a long drop toilet in Mongolia. Somehow it survived to see a couple more years after that before moving on to canon.
Over the years my camera has followed me closely through the dramatic landscapes of Australia, NZ and other parts of the world. It was only natural to have a curiosity towards the creatures that live there. I love being outdoors and taking the time to slow down and notice all the birds chatting high above or spotting lizards low on the ground. Recently my passion was set on fire from a trip to Africa as we spent hours and hours each day searching, watching and photographing animals.

Bringing us to this present day nestled in the dusty red pindan on the WA’s Kimberley Coast, at a slower pace in life I have found myself drawn to capturing wildlife and landscapes surrounded by natural lighting and forever changing weather across the landscapes.
Through my work, I hope to inspire others to appreciate and protect the natural world and spend more time surrounded by it.

I believe that yes, having the right gear is important but not nearly important as getting out there, enjoying the environment and capturing the moment.
