Just a girl with a camera capturing all things wildlife
Exploring the wonders of the natural world one snapshot at a time.
After spending so much time outdoors in Australia’s vast landscape, I found myself surrounded by an abundance of wildlife. I spent a lot of time photographing landscapes, and naturally, I started capturing a few birds here and there. Then curiosity got the better of me, and I bought my first bird book to identify some of the birds I was photographing.
There was this moment on my last trip to Africa when the rain poured down, and a leopard named Falau paused for a brief moment. Frozen in the rain, he turned his head and looked towards us. The feeling of pure excitement and awe, knowing that such a moment wouldn’t happen again, sealed the deal for me to pursue wildlife photography.
After spending time in Ireland photographing the wild, windy west coast, a conversation about an opportunity to photograph in a couple of Kenya’s most scenic national parks arose. A year later, I found myself seated in the back of a green 4x4, staring through the camera lens into the eyes of some incredible animals. It was there that my excitement and passion for wildlife photography truly flamed up.
